Our Crafty Friend Alice

Hi, Crafty Friends!
It's Crafty Friends Weekly Challenge #3 time!  We are a WEEKLY challenge now, changing from Forever Friends.  Our theme this go is "Use Your Favorite Color Combination."   We are being sponsored by the incredibly talented Rick St Dennis!  We also have Top 3 picks, too!

Here is a sampling of Rick's work from the Randi Dandi line, "Alice in the Garden of Live Flowers:"

She is beautiful in her own way, isn't she?   Love her little flower friends.  My colors are purple and blue, but I'm not sure if it is my favorite color combo. Can't wait to see your favorite!  You are sooo inspiring! Really am looking forward to seeing you at Crafty Friends this week!

I'd like to take the time to thank you for leaving me such kind, wonderful comments.  Gosh, I appreciate you so very much.  I hope things smooth around here soon so that I can hop on over and see what you have been up to also!  Love to see what you are creating and give you a hello.

Hoping you have a marvelous week with lots of time to craft.  See you soon, my Friends!  Big hugs and Bright Spots for you...

Keep Calm!

Hi!
Think summer is finally here?  Our forecast sure seems that it is.  Yay!!!  It's been a long wait, hasn't it?

Today is Wednesday, Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge day!  Yahoo!  This week we have for you Limited Runs, Robyn's Fetish and StampArt Design by Kathryne as sponsors, with the theme of "1, 2, 3."  What's "1,2,3" did you ask?  It's 1 image, 2 patterned papers, and 3 embellishments!  Fun theme!

As you can see on my make, I did it again, and didn't follow the theme very well.  Please don't do as I did.  LOLOL

Here is "Katie Reading" by Robyn's Fetish:

This is going to my sis who cares for my parents, God bless her.  Don't know what we would do without her.  She loves to read and always has her nose in a book, so thought this would be perfect for her.  The sentiment is from Create with TLC.  The original sentiment has these really cool fingers pointing but I took them out as the fingers looked really weird when I resized the sentiment.  LOL

This is it for today!  I hope you are having a very lovely week, and if not, my hope is that a Bright Spot will come your way.  Fall right in your lap!  See you soon, Friends!

Pretty "it" Up!  The theme for One Stitch at a Time Challenge #167!

I've tried to pretty it up with this beautiful image from Delicious Doodles.  Her name is "Rosalee."

Sweet, sweet image and very fun to color.

Did you know that the Stitchy Store has images from a bunch of different artists?  Lots of variety and one stop shopping!

See you over at OSAAT with your own "Pretty It Up" project!  I hope you have the best-est week!  Maybe we will have sunshine and Bright Spots!  Lots!!!

Celebration Time!!!

Hello there!
It's Celebration Time!  Well, the first celebration is that I've joined the Lacy Sunshine Design Team!  Yipee!  So happy to get those pencils on Heather's digis!!! Can hardly believe it!

Now I can tell you about the important celebration!  Lacy Sunshine is having a 1 year Celebration!  A very special 1 year Celebration!

Last June, Heather, the creator of Lacy Sunshine Stamps, launched her first digis with the creation of the amazing Eleanore & Pickles!  But wait, the good stuff is still to come!  Heather has created a CD with ALL her Eleanore & Pickles creations and guess what? Yep, that CD goes to a special someone this challenge!  You can be that special someone!  All you have to do is create a hand colored project using one of Lacy Sunshine's digis.  But wait, the fun doesn't stop here- Heather even provides you with a digi to use on your creation! Once you see a Lacy Sunshine digi, you are going to fall in love and just HAVE to color one!  Top it all of with an Anything Goes challenge!  Now we're having fun!

To get your fingers itching, here is a peek at just one of the digis on the CD, Eleanore & Pickles Catching Butterflies:

Let's start celebrating!  Go to the Lacy Sunshine Challenge blog, request your free digi, and get craftin'!  Remember, to qualify for the CD, you must use a Lacy Sunshine image, although you will still qualify for a Top 3 or GDT spot.   See a little taste of what you will get on the CD by checking out my Teamies and GDT incredible makes!  Hey, see you there!

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday- that is our theme over at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge this week.  Funny, it's my birthday this week.  I was thinking the other day (uh oh), I am over half a century old!  I've never thought of my age in those terms before and I think I won't do it any longer!  Ugh!  Sounds soooo old!

Let's get back to Penny's!  This week's sponsors are Eureka Stamps and Bugaboo Digi Stamps.  Wonderful sponsors, yes?  Decided to have fun with this make using "BB Sitter Balloon" by Bugaboo:

I hope you will come see us at Penny's and enter your Birthday make.  It will be fun to see your lovely creations!  While you are there, please take a peek at my lovely Teamie's works...you are sure to smile!

See you again soon, my friends.  Oh, Oh, I want to say thank you to new followers- Thank you New Followers!  Glad to have you as a friend.  Thank you, too, to the ever faithful who always leave a comment.  You are treasures.  True Bright Spots!

Penny's Joy!

Good day, Friends!
It's Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge time!  It's a JOY to bring you our challenge and theme- "Make a Joy-Fold!"  Being mentally challenged lately, (lately- haha!) I just couldn't picture this fold...but once done, it really is a simple and fun fold to make!  Give it a try.  I think you will really en-JOY the results!

Fantastic sponsors again this go- Eureka Stamps, and Sassy Studio Designs.

Here is my very first ever attempt at a joy-fold card using Theodora of SSD.

Come on, I tried a joy fold card, now you try it too!  It's fun!  My Teamie's have the most wonderful examples to show you on the Penny's site!

Well, my sweet friends, that's all for today except for a huge thank you to new followers, and a huge thank you for leaving comments like you do!  It sure feels nice.  Bye bye for now!

Emily Amphitrite!

Happy Sunday (or Monday!) Friends!
This is such a fun post!  I have the honor of being a Guest Design Team Member for Lacy Sunshine Challenges!  The fun part is showing you the image I had the joy to work with- Emily Amphitrite!  Emily is from Heather's (the artist) new Mythology Collection, available in the Lacy Sunshine Shop.

I had to look up the word "Amphitrite" seeing that I am not a mythology expert, or even a novice (lol).  Seems Amphitrite is a sea-godess from Greek mythology (is there another?) and the wife of Poseidon under the influence of the Olympian pantheon.  I should have known that!  I also discovered that no less than 7 ships of the Royal Navy are named HMS Amphitrite, frigates in both the United States and French Navies, an asteroid and in baby name books!   There is something I do know- Emily Amphitrite was soooo soooo fun to color and make up into a card!

 Isn't she gorgeous?

The theme of this fortnight's challenge is "Anything Goes."  On top of that, Heather gives you one of her fantastic images to use- free!!!  So head on over right now to the Lacy Sunshine Challenge blog, get your free digi, and create yourself into lots of fun!  While you are there, be sure to take a peek at the other Mythology images Heather created, used by her talented Sunshine Girls!  You don't have to use a Lacy Sunshine image to enter the challenge but as soon as you glimpse the images, I bet you'll want to!

That's all from me for now.  I'll see you in a few days.  Until then, I wish you lots of Bright Spots, sunshine, and happiness!

Your friend,
Manderly

Healing the what???

Hi!
Wednesday again, so that means it's Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge time!  This week our theme is "Circles," meaning you must have at least one circle on your make.  Our wonderful sponsors are "The Paper Shelter" and "QKR Stampede."

This is "Healing the Dragon 04."  Healing the what? The Dragon!  The image is part of a cute, cute series by The Paper Shelter where these little men heal a big huge adorable dragon!

A closer view of the cute, cute little men giving medicine.   Think that red stuff in the bottle works?

A spoon full of medicine!

Now it's your turn- add your make to Penny's #128 Challenge,  we enjoy looking at what you create!  We have lovely DT samples for you, too.  See you there!

Today you would never know what the state of Oklahoma has endured the last 3 days.  The sun is shining so beautifully.  On behalf of my state and myself, thank you for all your thoughts and prayers.  We need Bright Spots as we heal from the tragedies at Shawnee and Moore, Oklahoma.  Please continue to pray for us. Special hugs for you, M xxxooo
