Well, Fancy that!

Hi again!
For now, I am only posting the image from our sponsor, Stitchy Bear, at Fat Pages Cards with Attitude Challenge.  I'll be back later to finish up with the details.  Her name is Fancy.  Did you guess that already?

I lost the cat, found him in my coffee, dried him off and stuck him in place.  Now that's something to think about until I get back! LOL!!!

NEWS FLASH- Fat Pages and also at ATC's, we have a new Design Team member....TA Dum....Chrissy of Chrissy's Cardland!  Oh, my dear, she is a talented one!  We are amazingly blessed that she said yes to joining our team.  Stop by and see her most lovely  artwork.  She will be bringing you many delightful cards.  I hope you stop by her blog, look around and give her a big welcome!

Our sponsor this week other than Stitchy Bear is My Grafico.  We have the very best sponsors!  Be sure to join us.  As always, our famous, or is it infamous?  I get them confused, lol, anyway, our famous Anything Goes theme, or/and Halloween.  I've never done a Halloween card before and I have to say, it was fun!  I won't bore you with details, just that I've colored Fancy up with Prisma pencils.  Such a fun image! Oh dear, I almost forgot, the Light Post!  Isn't it fantastic?  It came compliments of TLC!  Another fantastic company.  Follow TLC and sign up for the emails...you will get free surprises everyday.  Good surprises, not funky ones!  And if you would like to contact me, my email is at the top left side-bar.

Until next time, how many things can you think of that use Fancy....there are songs, sayings, .....  Chrissy wrote that I lost my cat in my coffee because of the bourbon in my cup.  I wrote her back that the bourbon is in my second cup!  LOL  Just teasin'!  I don't even drink alcohol!

Many bright spots are my wish for you.

Majestic Mountains...sort of!

Hello there my Crafting Buddies!

I have a new Design Team card to share with you this fine morning.  I have joined up with Craft A Scene- a wonderfully different monthly challenge!  As our name explains, the themes are scene based.  In past challenges there have been themes such as Trees, Trees, Trees and The Great Outdoors, Anything Goes.  You get the idea!  And the Design Team is out of this world talented!  I am so very honored to have been chosen to be on the Craft A Scene team.

This month our theme is Majestic Mountains.  We want to see your most creative Majestic Mountains!  Coming next month, we will have very special sponsors for you to win from.  This month, create Majestic Mountains and be a a Top 3 Winner!  I often prefer that over winning goodies!  Do you?

Here is my Craft A Scene creation:

The scene is done with Prisma Pencils, using a Snow Writer by DecoArt for the mountaintop snow.  I had the majestic Sierra Nevada Mountain Range of California in mind.  The Simple Scarecrow was a freebie from Rick St Dennis.  The butterflies are from Delicious Doodles.  They are beautiful digital images.  They were reduced in size so as to make them 3-D for this card.  Drew up pumpkins and leaves, added Glossy Accents to them and the scarecrow pumpkin head, and placed crows flying about the sky.  Oh, and a fence made of some wood chips from an old weathered box.  Mounted with foam squares onto an easel card.  That is it!  I added "sort of" to the title because I would have liked the mountains to be more of the focal point.   I hope you like it anyway!

I'll be back on the 1st and 2nd Sunday of every month with a new creation for you.  All of us at Craft A Scene post the first Sunday,.  I post the 2nd Sunday also, and others of the DT will be posted weekly throughout the month.  So hop over to the Craft A Scene site often to see amazing artwork.

Scenes are so very fun to make.  Give one a go!  You will love it!  I do hope to see your majestic mountain creation over at Craft A Scene.  I bet you can create some beauties.  Until then, hoping for special bright spots in your upcoming week!  Bye bye for now.

Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head!

Sing it with me- Rain drops keep falling on my head, da, da, da....I have forgotten the rest of the words!  But now the song will be swirling in our heads for awhile!  Catchy tune, eh?  Now you know the theme to this week's challenge over at One Stitch At A Time- Music or a Song.  Fun theme, isn't it?  I'm not sure who our sponsor is this week, but as always, it is sure to be a good one!

Here is Delayed Delivery by Floppy Latte Designs, available in the Stitchy Store:

Cute little guy isn't he?  All is colored with Prisma Pencils.  Added some free floating hearts with brads; stamped a hug ticket and miss you sentiment with stamps from my stash; printed out the music sheet found on the internet; cut hearts and a butterfly from the same music sheet.

This was a very fun card to make.  I hope you like it.  And I hope that no raindrops will be falling on YOUR head!

See you over at OSAAT!  I'm looking forward to seeing what you make.  Make sure to note what song you are using on your project.  Then YOUR song will be swirling in our heads!

I'll be back on Friday with posts from ATC and Fat Pages.  Until then, I hope bright spots fall on your head!  A whole thunderstorm of them!

EEKK! A Black Widow!

EEEKKKK!  Oh, don't be scared!  It's alright...only ATC's and Cards with Attitude Challenge time!  But what about the Black Widow?  Well, it's not a real Black Widow.  It's only an image from one of our great sponsors, Delicious Doodles!   We have another fantastic ATC's sponsor this fortnight too- Floppy Latte Digital Designs.  Nothing spooky about that!  Only 2 chances to win and Top 3's too!  So come join us!   Oh, by the way, themes...well, we don't have one!  Anything Goes!  Woohoo!

Here is Black Widow by Delicious Doodles:

Black Widow is colored with Prisma Pencils.  Put Glossy Accents on her fingernails with a toothpick; cut a few extra spiders to place about, added a rose from WOC and a few gems on her necklaces.

The sentiment, well, this card was made for a friend of mine...she plans on having a Renew Your Vows Halloween Wedding.  To each his own, as they say!

We sure hope you will join us at ATC's and Card with Attitude.  We love to see what you create.  While your there, take a peek at what ATC's DT members have created.  It always amazes me how one image can take on so many different looks!  And do something nice-- remind your man friends not to marry a Black Widow!

Bye bye for now.

November's Fairy

Hello!
Fat Page's and Cards with Attitude new challenge time!  This challenge we sort of have a theme...Autumn Colors (yellow, red, orange) or Anything Goes.  Told ya we sort of have a theme!  We have 2 fantastic sponsors this fortnight- Meljen's and Beccy's Place.  Isn't it great that we have more than one sponsor each challenge?  And such good, good sponsors to boot!

My image is Chrysanthemum Fairy by Beccy's.  Chrysanthemum is the flower for November.  I'm getting close to having the right fairy for the right month!   You can purchase Beccy's monthly Fairies as a set or buy them individual.  Fun to do for a birthday card.  I used Chrysanthemum Fairy to say hello to my Mum in California.  I feel sort of bad leaving my Dad out of the sentiment but the wording wouldn't quite work!

Here she is!

Chrysanthemum Fairy is colored with Prisma pencils and placed on a step card.  I did up a few pumpkins and leaves, adding wire tendrils and covering with Glossy Accents; placed them about along with butterflies.  A little eucalyptus at her feet and a polk-a-dot ribbon bow.

We hope you will join up with us at Fat Pages and Cards with Attitude!  Two winners and Top 3 too!  Ready, set, go!!!  See you there!

Willie Kisses Mia

Hi!  One of your A & T Emerald Faeries here with a new challenge!   This fortnight our theme is Flowers.  Isn't that a great theme?  Endless possibilities- you can make your own flowers, use bought flowers, cut out flowers, any flowers you want!  Now how fun is that?  AND, if you win, you get to pick images from our store!  Or you just might be a Top 3 Emerald Fairy yourself!  It is quite an honor to be chosen as a Top 3 in the A & T EFG Challenge.  Your entries have been over the top with talent!  You can use any image you like, although there are super freebies, so come and join us!

I choose the image Willie and Mia ( or Larry and Manderly- lol):

Emerald Faeries images are soooo fun to color and make up into a project!  Once you color them and start to make a card or other project, because they are such great images, your imagination starts flying with ideas to embellish!  Love doing these images and you will too!

Willie and Mia are kneeling on a log image by A & T and were colored with Prisma pencils, then placed on a cut out heart background.  The heart is outlined with a crystal heart stem and flowers from WOC- roses, baby breath and sweetheart blossoms.  Made up a couple of dragonflies from an old rubber stamp- my hubby loves dragonflies!  Finished the whole thing off with a red burlap-hemp bow.  I recently received the ribbon from Hobby Lobby, made by Paper Studio, I think.  It is really neat ribbon to work with as it is sort of stiff and makes a nice flat bow.  Nothing else really special, only the die-cut with a free  hanging heart sticking out of the sentiment panel.  All the DPs were given to me so I don't know who made them but I sure am happy that such a nice person from our circle knew I had a need and made up a box of goodies for me.  I use all she sent and it was quite a box!  Our crafters circle is made up of the best people ever!  Not only generous but so encouraging, too.

I think that is it for today.  I'll be back Friday to post for Fat Pages and ATC.  I think you will like what you see.  Or I hope you do!

You know, my life is pretty quiet as it is just my husband, U-lee our pup, and myself so I struggle to find something interesting to write you.  Last week I wrote about the Copperheads but I guess no one has a snake story as I didn't receive a comment about them- lol!

I am looking forward to seeing your artwork in our Emerald Faeries challenge.  We also run A & T Challenges with this fortnights theme of Flourishes/Swirls.  There is a week left at that challenge.  So you can do both- a project with flowers and flourishes, giving you 2 chances to win our wonderful images.

Wishing you bright spots this week, even teeny ones.  Sometimes they are the best ones as they catch you off guard! I hope you leave a comment, not only about the card, but maybe tell me about a bright spot you have been given!  I would love to hear of it.

See you again soon!
