My card has an image from Limited RunsHer name is Lulu.

Don't you think the sentiment of Your Special is perfect for Lulu? LOL  Such fun to color.  Here is little closer look at Lulu:

She's cute in her own way, isn't she?  Long thin necks are the rage with models! LOL

Well, friends, that's it for today.  I hope you'll stop by Penny's and check out my Teamie's makes and then go and make a Not A Square card and enter our Penny's Challenge!  We love to see what you make, too, and give you the chance to win some digis from these wonderful sponsors, Limited Runs and Kenny K.

Murrey

Good day to you!  It's Monday.  Sometimes Mondays are just plain yucky.  Not this one!  It's Forever Friends Challenge time!  A great theme we have for you, too- GirlsOne of our sponsors is Saturated Canary!  Now how is that for the Monday Blues?

The image I chose is called Murrey.  Sweet Easter Girl.  Here she is:

All the die cuts on this one come from NZ!  LOL  From my BFF over there who so kindly sends them to me!  The pin at the top came from another friend, Karen C.  She sells these beautiful pins in her shop.

I hope this little Murrey from Saturated Canary has brightened your Monday just a little.  Head on over to Forever FriendsThere is lots of inspiration for you from my talented Team Mates.  We love to see what you make, too, so share your Girl themed creation with us in this fortnights FF Challenge!

Until next time, I wish you lots of Bright Spots!

Sending hugs,

Mattti & Kristi

Happy Wednesday!
Today is Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge day!  Yeah!  Our theme this week is Gingham and/or checks.  That ought to be fun!

One of our sponsors is Whimsy Design's very own super talented Kathryne of StampArt Design.  She has the best free sentiments on her Talk About Tuesday posts, so be sure to check out her blog and sign up for her emails so you don't miss a one!  These are really cool sentiments you will actually use!

Today's card from StampArt's Sweet Impressions Collection features Matti & Kristi:

Aren't they sweet?  Other images in the Sweet Impressions Collection are Katie and Toby & Ari.  Soooo cute and fun!  The sentiment is a bonus!  There are several others included with the image.

That's all for today, my friends.  Talk to you soon!  I hope your day is a very good one. inside and out!

Home Tweet Home

Hello!  Spring is almost here!!!  Yipee!  Our peach tree has the most beautiful pink glow, as it is starting to bud.  Don't you just love Spring?  Do birds build their nests now?  Here in Oklahoma we have the most lovely colorful birds- cardinals, blue budgies, bright yellow little canary like birds, all so vibrant in color (they must like the big colorful bugs we have here too!).  We have fat Robins too, who cock their little heads to listen for worms.  Speaking of robins, guess who one of Penny's sponsors is this week?  Yes, you got it!  Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps!  And to go with birds and Spring, here is a super image from RF:

Tweet sweet image.  Here is a closer look:

Perfect for a Thinking of You card, I think.  Colored with Prisma Pencils; paper-pieced the little wings and fat cheeks of these Blue Birds (NOT Blue Jays!).

I hope you will visit Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps and Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge #118, this week.  Our theme at Penny's is Ribbon and Dies.  If you don't have dies, a punch will do!

Well, I guess I will sign off for today.  The sun is shining!  Yeah!  Seeing the sun will be enough of a Bright Spot for me today.  I hope you get a Bright Spot too!   Bye bye for now!

JASMINE and another OOPS!

Hello there!
Well, it's about time I did another oops, after all it has been at least a month since my last!  Our theme at Forever Friends this fortnight is Shaped Cards.  You will see that I didn't remember this until after my card was finished.  That adhesive we use is pretty sticky stuff, so no taking off my image to change the card.  At Forever Friends we figured since I still had cobwebs in my head from last time, that a rectangle was a shaped card!  My teamies are sooo sweet!  But you, our FF lovers, must make a Shaped Card!

Here is my Shaped Card from one of our sponsors, Kenny K, named Jasmine:

Colored with Prisma Pencils and surrounded by some wonderful leaf ribbon given to me by my BFF...those cool corners at the bottom of the oval are from her too!

This is going to my niece, Savannah, the daughter of Esmeralda from last week- their birthdays are the same day!  I tell you, this fits Savannah perfectly too!  I wish you could see the colors in person.  Here is a closer look:

In closing, we hope to see you at Forever Friends this fortnight with your Shaped Card.  Maybe if I had a few more Bright Spots I could see my way to following the theme correctly?

An extra thank you to my 2 new followers- Gemma and Ellie!  Thank you to all my followers and to those that take time to comment.  You sure make me feel good inside when you leave me a note.  You really do.  Big hugs to you all!

Fondly,
Manderly

Happy Balloon Day!

Happy Balloon Day!  That is supposed to be for a birthday right?  Well, I think we will make it just "Happy Balloon Day" so if you have a balloon or two, blow them up and let's celebrate the day!  Sound fun?  Yes!

The two little balloon characters in my card today are from Bugaboo, and called Kidz, Boy Balloon and Heart Balloon.   Bugaboo is ONE of our sponsors at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge #117 this week!  Our theme is "Stitching- Real or Faux."  As you will see, mine is Faux as I forgot the theme until I finished my card and had to add fake stitching AFTER it was all put together!  Boy, I need to get my head on straight! (My hubby would say, "Good Luck."  He is so funny! )

Here is my Penny's DT card, Kidz by Bugaboo:

It is a Twisted Easel CardA very fun card to make.  Colored with Prisma's, a little yellow glitter on the balloons and buttons all around.  The sentiment is from TLC.  It fit perfectly!

We do hope to see you at Penny's this week.  We are such a fun and friendly group.  Stop by, say hello, and enter your Stitching projects...we so love to see what you make!

Hmmmm, I wonder if there will be Bright Spots today.   Yes, probably, if I keep my eyes open for them!  I'll have to see through the balloons tho.  I hope you have many.

Ebony Hugs

Hello again!  Long time no see! LOL  Two in one day, wowwee!  It's A & T Emerald Faeries Challenge time!  Our theme this month is "Bling."  Do you think that is one of the favorite themes?  Bling projects are fun to make!

There are lots of the cutest faeries ever in the A & T Emerald Faeries Store.  We have sentiments and other digis, too, by the very talented Anita- the "A" in "A & T"! But my fav is the faeries so I have chosen to do Ebony this go:

The bling doesn't show too well but the birds and background are out of that glitter card stock.  There are gems and Glossy Accents butterflies, too.  This fold is one I saw that Julie of Penny's Paper-Crafty made.  It is a type of easel, but sorta in reverse! The little top flower has a brad on a corner die cut, then a brad on the back easel to slip the die on and hold the image panel at that slant angle.  I hope that made sense!  Pretty fun to make.

Here is a closer look at just Ebony:

Well, friends, I am looking forward to seeing your artwork at the A & T Emerald Faeries Challenge #41 this month.  Go look around our shop, you will fall in love with these faeries!  A blast to color and make up!

See you again in a few days...
Hoping for the bestest of weekends for you, full of them there Bright Spots!

Polkadoodles and Emma

Polka what?  PolkadoodlesPolkadoodles and Studio 12 actually.  A brand new Design Team I've begun to create for.  Brand new to me, that is!   We have so many wonderful products to offer you that to attempt to describe them all makes my head start spinning!  I think best to describe Polkadoodles as our logo states- Cardmaking.  Papercrafts.  Inspiration.  Yes, that is safest until I learn all we have to offer.  I do know we are coming out with new lines in March.  CDs, papers, embellishments, digital download bundles, and newly discovered, wonderfully talented artists...you have got to take a look-see at our store!!! You will fall in love with the Polka Doodles/Studio 12 line as much as I have!  We even have a magazine and are on the telly!  Whoo-Hooo!!!

Oh dear, I forgot to mention that we have weekly challenges, too!  Every Friday.  Our theme this week is "Spring Flowers."  We have the best prizes and Top 3s too!

For my first project, I made a step card with an Emma Canning image from the Polka Doodles Valentine Challenge.  I added a sentiment from the Heritage Download Bundle.   But oh, hogwash! I had a little problem with colored ink so I was unable to use all the fantastic goodies that come with the Heritage bundle so plain card stock for me.  Our papers available for download would have been perfect.....oh well, next card I will!  I hope you like my first project for Polka Doodles.

The image is called "Be My Valentine" by Emma Canning.  Smell that sweet rose?  I made a few butterflies and covered them with Glossy Accents.  Other than the roses, I've cut up some flower dies to place around.

A little long of a post today but I am so very excited to share this news with you!  I'll be back with more Polka Doodles so you can get an idea of the many images  and goodies we have to offer...better yet, hop on over to the store and have a look around, especially the Gallery.  Don't forget to add your "Spring Flowers" project to the PD ChallengeTake a look at my Teamie's creations too, as we have a super talented DT that is sure to inspire you.

That is all for a moment!  I'll be right back...
Your friend,
Manderly
