Ari & Toby Surprise!

Hello again, Friends!
I hope this finds your week starting off just right!

I have a surprise!  Well, it was a surprise to me so thought I would share it with you!  I was shocked Friday to find Ari & Toby were published in Whimsy Inspirations Issue 12 Magazine!!!  This magazine comes in hard copy or online.  The online version is free.  If you want to take a peek, I have that neat little blinkie over there on the left that will take you right to Whimsy's Issue 12.  I'm all the way back on page 56, but hey, I figure at least my card is in a magazine! LOL

Here is Ari & Toby:

This is actually a gate-fold card but I put the ribbon on wrong!   The ribbon ended up being just for looks and is useless as a closure!  Here is view with her partially open:

A close-up of just Ari & Toby:

This cutie of an image is from StampArt Design by Kathryne.  Isn't Ari sweet?  Kathryne's images are such a treat to color! Even the little butterflies are by Kathryne and come as a Bonus image with her Butterfly Border digi!

Kathryne is an artist for Whimsy StampsIf you check out StampArt's blog, you'll see that you can sign up for her daily emails, something you really want to do!  Monday is "Spread the Word," and Tuesday is "Talk About Tuesday."  On these 2 days, you get free work of art sentiments.  The other days of the week, she posts creations made by her customers.  So, if you do up one of Kathryne's fabulous digis, email her your creation, and she just might post you for a day!  On Facebook too!  Now how wonderful is all this???!!!

A long post but I hope you'll read about StampArt Design by Kathryne and check out her work because as you know, all our makes start with a great image, and she has em'!!!

Enough from me for todayThank you ever so much for taking a peek at my card and for listening to me boost!  You are the best!

A little Quirky!

Happy Sunday to you!
This fortnight I have the pleasure to be a Guest Designer for Quirky Crafts Challenges!  It's so fun to guest design!  And it's fun to be a little quirky for a few weeks.  I have a question tho- how does one go about being quirky?  LOL Maybe we could start by entering this fortnight's challenge with the theme- Bright and Dark AND Not a Square or Rectangle!  Just reading this great challenging theme makes my head quirky!  Yours, too? LOL

Here is my GDT card for Quirky CraftsThe image is Butterfly Profile and you can find it in the StitchyBear Digital Store:

I figured since no squares or rectangles were allowed with this theme, that pretty much left me with circles or ovals, unless you are one of those creative people that make shaped cards!  This is a plain ol' round easel! LOL

The sponsors for this Quirky Challenge are StitchyBear and Louby Loo Digital DelightsQuirky Challenges are so cool because they give out digi wins to the Top 3!  I like that!

The little "KNOW" metal word-art tag is from Tim Holtz.  I put "know" because I thought one could write "Know....that I love you." Or something like that.  But then I started making myself laugh with all the "know" things I came up with, then laughed even harder thinking of my husband!  He use to say "know what I mean?" after almost every sentence!  Just a habit he had and it was sooo annoying, know what I mean?  LOLOL  Thank goodness, he doesn't say it anymore!

Well, this is it for today.  I'll be back tomorrow with a little news I received on Friday.  A big deal to me and I want to share it with you, my friends!

I hope you'll make it over to Quirky Crafts this next fortnight.  The girls would be delighted to see your masterpieces!  Thank you, Quirky, so very much for having me as your Guest Designer.  It is definitely Quirky!

Thank you to my new follower, SamaraSuch a talented lady.  Thank you to all my followers and special thanks to you that stop and leave such lovely comments.  I really do savor each one!!!  Makes me feel special.

Good day to you, my friends!

Snow White

Hi again!
I'm wondering- is Snow White one word or two?  LOL  Such a silly if that's all I have to think about!  On to today's challenge at Penny's Crafty-Creations!  Our theme this week (drum roll, please)- ANYTHING GOES!  Yay!!!  Two fantastic sponsors also- Sassy Studio Designs and QKR StampedeCan't get much better than this!

On to SSD's Snow White Honey (Snowwhite? Naw!)

A little closer to tell you, "Don't worry, be happy!"  HA!!! Sometimes its easier said (as a sentiment, of course) than done!

Well, I wish you a Happy Happy Everything kind of week, filled with Bright Spots along the way!  I hope to see your lovely work at Penny's this week.  Bye bye for now!

Forever Friends says Bonjour!

Bonjour!
This is the first word I learned in French class.   I think it means Hello and Goodbye.  I might have learned one more line that I wouldn't be able to spell now.  Needless to say, I didn't do very well in this class!

On to today's challenge at Forever Friends!  This fortnight our theme is "Use Lots of Flowers."  Our FF Favourite will receive images from Di's Digi Downloads and our random winner from Little Miss Muffet.

Little Miss Muffet has a whole collection of adorable Hatters, and this card shows Nora Claire.  She is a mad-hatter for hats and traveling abroad, I think!  That cute "Bonjour" sentiment was a freebie last week from StampArt Design by Kathryne.  Sign up for her emails and you can get "Talk About Tuesday" sentiments right to your inbox!

Fun to color and makes up into a cute, quick card.  I hope you think so!

Well, well, well, me thinks that is it for today.  Try wearing a hat and come visit us at Forever FriendsSee you again Wednesday, the Lord willing!   Remember to look for those Bright Spots!  I bid you a fond ado (is that French?)!!!  This is- Bonjour!

Amelia In the Garden

Hi there!
We have warmed up over the past few days.  Due a nice thundershower today and tomorrow, maybe a tornado or two, then back down in temperature again!  Maybe we will skip nice Spring days this year and go right into Summer!  Has your weather been all mixed up?

Now with the weather forecast finished we can get down to business!  This week at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge #123, our theme is "Use a Sentiment."  We have two lovely sponsors for you- Digi My World and Crafty Sentiments Designs.  My sample card is using Amelia-4 by DMW.  She is in her garden which looks just like mine except my bunnies aren't pink, they are brown with white cotton tails!

I've used a Crafty Sentiments Sentiment.  CSD has the cutest images available, too.  Here is Amelia with the CSD Sentiment closer:

She was fun to make.  Amelia and her sentiment are on a Gate-Fold card but you can't really tell- LOL.  Those gorgeous butterflies are a Bonus from Butterfly Border by StampArt Designs by Kathryne.  She is a Whimsy gal but on her personal blog she has many, many fab things going on, like free sentiments!  You MUST sign up for her emails as you will enjoy them very much.  AND make a card using one of her images and she just might post it on her blog!

My Teamies made some lovely cards so I do hope you'll stop by Penny's this week and take a peek.  We would love for you to join our Use A Sentiment Challenge at Penny's and give us a look at your masterpieces!

It's early morning here in the States and my head isn't working straight yet so I hope I've gotten all the particulars written out here for you correctly!  I've almost forgotten to add that I wish you many Bright Spots, enough to carry you safely through the rest of the week!  Talk to you soon, my Friend.

+ The Three Bears!

Good Morning, Friends!
Have you been having odd weather for April?  We sure have.  There is a saying in Oklahoma, USA- "If you don't like the weather, stick around for 10 minutes."  It's so true!  Our weather changes on a dime!  Last week we were down to the 30's again during the day, with sleet, hail, high winds and under a tornado watch, then the next day up to 70 degrees, sunny, calm and oh, so Spring-ie Fresh!  Well, that's our weather report.  Weather is the thing a person writes about when they have as boring a life as mine! LOLOL!!!

Anywho, It's One Stitch At A Time Challenge #159 Sunday!  Our theme this go is "Bright."  The image I used is named Goldilocks + The Three Bears, available in the Stitchy StoreThis beauty is drawn by Ike of IkeSart.

Colored up with Prisma Pencils.  I had no idea how to color bears so I looked up Bear Images on Bing then faked it!

I love Ike's interpretation of Goldilocks.  She is a little eerie looking, thus the "Are you scared yet?"  I didn't mean for the sentiments to look as if one should be scared of their birthday, but it sort of comes out that way!   I'll have to really think on who receives this one!  LOL

We would love to see your beauties at OSAAT's Bright Challenge!

Well, that's all from me till Wednesday.  I am hoping this new week is super for youBye bye for now...

WOW in Fairyland!

Hello there!
I must have been in Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge, White on White world yesterday, as I totally forgot to post my card!  On with it then, here is my WOW,  Fern the Forest Fairy by Deliciouos Doodles:

This image was super fun to color with all the details it has.  Here is a closer look at just Fern:

Beside Delicious Doodles, we have StampArt Designs as a sponsor this week at PPC!  Two fantastic sponsors, don't you think?

The Dragonflies are for my friend Desire, of Doing Life.  You can see her beautiful makes here.

Seeing that I am a day late, I better get this posted!  I hope you are doing well and I hope to see you at Penny's this week for the White on White challenge!  It will be fun to see your creations!  Please stop by Penny's and look at my Teamie's cards, as they turned out very lovely work that is sure to inspire you!

Enchanted Slumber

Howdy!
I hope this finds you doing okay!  Today is fortnight Monday at Forever Friends Challenges!  Our theme this go is Dies/Punches.  I think I really got the theme right this time!  Take a look at our sponsor Michelle Perkett's Enchanted Slumber:
As you can see, I went a little crazy with the die cuts!  I tried 2 new things- framed Enchanted Slumber with a die cut, that's where you cut part of the image out with the die and hand cut the rest of the image.  Scary seeing your colored image run through the die cutter!  The other thing I did was print designer papers!  I've never done this before but seeing that another of our sponsors at Forever Friends is Bearly Mine Designs, I thought I would try it, now I'm hooked!  Donna creates the most beautiful papers.  The one we used is Spring BlossomsShe has free papers on her blog, beautiful ones!

I hope you like Enchanted SlumberThe beautiful sentiment came as a Bonus from a StampArt Designs image, Pretty Petals

I hope your week is a wonderful one for you.   I hope, too, that you'll stop in at Forever Friends, post your creation and let us enjoy your work!  Please check out my team mates makes, as there is so much talent.

Lots of Bright Spots this week, right?  There are enough to go around!

and we'll be Swingin'!!!

Hi Everyone!
I hope this finds you doing okay or better yet, doing wonderful!  Remember that old country song with the words "and we'll be swingin"?  I love that song and use to love to Swing dance! LOL  Good memories.  Now for Penny's today we have Deacon Swingin'! Take a looksee-

Take a closer looksee at just Deacon-

A birthday swing!  He is a darling image from Bugaboo, our sponsor at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge this week.  Our theme for you is "red, white and black."  I wondered about this when I first saw our theme but really I had a lot of fun using these colors in the layout!  Give it a try and join us at Penny's this week!  We really love it when you stop by and enter your lovely artwork. Such talent out there, for sure.  While you are there at Penny's, or if you need a little red, white and black boost, come peek at my Teamie's creations- you will definitely be inspired!

See you around the Blog, my friends.  Stay well, warm and keep an eye out for those Bright Spots- you will end up better than OK!
